Today I started the development of the new frame. So I mounted all the parts to the old frame and made fenders out of cardboard to see how things fit and what needs adjustment.

Next I'll finish the prototyping to discover new hidden mistakes in the old design. |

The frame of the ATV along with other parts and materials are now in the garage. The next thing to do is to develop a new lighter frame out of the existing one. |

The workshop/garage is finally complete. I moved the majority of the ATV project's stuff into the garage. Tomorrow I will move the frame and the rest of the parts.
From now on the build will go faster than before, because in the last year I had to build the ATV under the open sky. This meant that I had to clean all the weldings in the morning, because they had rusted a bit during the night from all the moisture that had accumulated under the covering sheet. It also meant that I had to pack and unpack each time I 'paused' the build because of rain or nightfall. Now everything will be protected under the garage roof and I can just continue the build without having to go through any time-consuming ritual. |

At this moment, construction for a small workshop is underway. There I can continue building the ATV without worrying about the cruel cold Estonian winter. |

The ATV Project has been PAUSED, effective from today till september.
from the very beginning I planned to start the build in march, so everything would be nicely complete for summer, but instead I concentrated on school and the actual building began at 6th of June. my time-management sucks.
I'm just sorry that i didn't start building in march... still, nevertheless I don't have an infrastructure (paths and a small 10 meter long bridge) at my summer-place (for which I started building the ATV in the first place). According to my plans I was sopposed to start building that infrastructure on the 1st of July and that I will do, only 10 days late. For me building roads, bridges and other neat stuff out of logs is the ultimate vacation :)
The ATV will be complete by summer 2006, 100%. |
